Reported by Iran's media, particularly Press TV, and an increasing number of US media, the Obama Administration removed the Iranian regime and Terror group Hezbollah from what is called "US national security threats" of 2015. The list, established by the director of national intelligence, identifies the various threats facing the United States. This year the director of the national intelligence M. James Clapper scrapped Iran's regime and Hezbollah from the list. The report praises Iran and Hezbollah's roles in fighting ISIL, as reported by Press TV.

Such a "recognition" of Iran and Hezbollah by the Obama Administration goes against US laws that considers Hezbollah and the Quds force of the Iranian regime as "terror entities." It is unknown how will Congress react to this crossing of a "thick red line" by the Administration regarding two well identified Terror entities, but what remains clear is that the laws identifying Iran's and Hezbollah Terror statuses needs other laws to be removed. And that is going to need a majority in Congress. Hezbollah can be scrapped from an executive branch "list" for the time being, but not from the US Government laws, until the next legislative election...
