The weekly al Watan al Arabi published an article on the efforts by Lebanese politicians and NGOs to raise awareness about Lebanon's deteriorating situation, at international levels. The article focused on MP Nadim Gemayel visit to the United Nations and Washington this month accompanied by the representatives of the World Council of the Cedars Revolution. "Gemayel explained to officials how Lebanon fell into the hands of the Iranian-Syrian axis over the past years." al Watan al Arabi reported that both UN and US official told Gemayel that it is upon the Lebanese Government to request international backing."
 
Al Watan al Arabi also quoted Dr Phares stating that "it is vital for the leaders of the Cedars Revolution to inform US and UN officials about the real equation on the ground in Lebanon: That Hezbollah and its regional allies are moving forward in attempting to control Lebanon despite international resolutions. But that the majority of the Lebanese people oppose this domination and is looking forward to see the international community assisting the Lebanese in pushing back against this domination."
