Sleiman puts final touches on agenda of Washington visit PDF Print E-mail

President Michel Sleiman’s press office issued a statement on Friday that Sleiman held a meeting with the delegation accompanying him to Washington on Saturday to put the final touches on the agenda of the visit. 

The president will be travelling with Defense Minister Elias al-Murr, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Shami, Minister of State Wael Abu Faour as well as an administrative and security delegation. They will meet with US President Barack Obama at the White House on Monday.

The statement added that Sleiman will meet with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, US Special Envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell, among other officials as well as people from the Lebanese community in Washington.
